Marion Kerr an Atlanta Photographer opened Kerr Studio in 1949 after his tour in World War II and operated the Atlanta GA Photographer studio alone until 1974 when his son, Ron, joined him. Marion retired in 1980, leaving the photography solely to Ron an Atlanta Georgia Photographer.

The original Photographer in Atlanta studio in Decatur moved to its new facilities in September 1990 to the Medlock Bridge Business Center in Norcross, Georgia. The larger Atlanta Photographer studio has the space necessary to accommodate catalog and commercial photography in addition to portrait and Atlanta wedding photography.

  Ron Kerr, present owner, is an active member of the Georgia Professional Photographers Association and is certified by the Professional Photographers of America.
 He has served as a member at large for the GPPA board of directors and chaired the advisory committee for Gwinnett Technical Institute's Commercial Photography Program when they sought and received state accreditation.
